Travelling Images: Mi'kma'ki
Youth United Will Never Be Defeated

TRANSFORM

Sep 16 - 26, 2025

Treaty Space Gallery, 1887 Granville St

group exhibition

Travelling Images: Mi'kma'ki, is the first Canadian stop of the touring exhibition Youth United Will Never Be Defeated. Thirty photos and other artworks that disrupt gender norms were created and selected by 250 youth researchers in eight countries.

Come celebrate with youth researchers from Eskasoni First Nation as they host their ongoing creative conversation with peers from Malawi, Mali, Mexico, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Tanzania. This exhibit presents research from TRANSFORM: Engaging with Youth for Social Change, a transnational project led by Dr. Claudia Mitchell (McGill) in collaboration with Dr. April Mandrona (NSCAD U), that engages young people through participatory visual and arts-based methods.
