QUEER METHODS LAB: RAVE-CEPTION

Monday, Oct 27 20256 - 10pm

Anna Leonowens Gallery

From October 27 through November 1, Gallery 3 is transformed into a dynamic third space of pedagogical accumulation. This intervention, initiated by faculty, Patryk Stasieczek, and their Queer Methods Lab (PHOT-3410) course. The activation program highlights classroom activities and subverts the expectations for exhibition practice while spotlighting the pedagogical mandate that initiated Anna Leonowens’ gallery systems at NSCAD University in 1968.

The program begins with an opening that re/frames the gallery into a dance floor, the queerest pedagogical site. This dance event supported by the Office of Student Experience and entry is via the back door of Gallery 3 on Hollis Street, Monday, October 27 starting at 6PM and running until 10PM.
