The Anna Leonowens Gallery welcomes Fall 2025 Intern Chris P. Sampson

Chris P. Sampson is a multi-disciplinary artist of Labrador Inuit-settler descent. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Major in Fine Arts, at NSCAD, on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq. 

Working alongside the exceptional gallery team and fellow intern Czarina, Chris is super excited to broaden his expansive NSCAD art learning experience beyond the studio and classroom. He is also looking forward to meeting all the visiting artists and exhibiting students as they show their work.

Chris recently returned from “the warmest winter of his life” as a participant in NSCAD’s Creative Social Ethics Workshop in Cape Town, South Africa. He continues to process those photographs and videos while planning for a possible MFA, where he will keep making prints and photographs.
