2024 NSCAD Student Art Award Submissions are OPEN

Submissions Due TUESDAY 20 FEBRUARY, 12:00 p.m.

NSCAD University is now accepting submissions to the 2024 NSCAD Student Art Award. This celebration of achievement rewards talented NSCAD students with one Purchase Prize, and nine best-in-category prizes. The grand prize-winning artwork will also be accessioned to the NSCAD University Permanent Collection. This builds upon the 10-year legacy of the Starfish Student Art Awards, which were generously presented by Starfish Properties.

The winner will be announced in May 2024 at the exhibition showcase & awards gala.

Overview of Eligibility:

  • Students currently registered in a full-time or part-time degree program or were registered in SUMMER or FALL 2023 semester as a full-time or part-time degree program student.
  • Work must be created at NSCAD since May 2023.
  • The competition is open to students at all levels. Foundation students, Intro Level, Intermediate Level, Advanced Level and Graduate Students are all welcome to apply.

The Anna Leonowens Gallery Systems is a public exhibition space within NSCAD University, presenting professional exhibitions by established artists alongside graduating student exhibitions.
