FEMINA TERRIBILIS explores the connections between outdated technology, human aging, femininity and the natural decay around us. It reflects on how modern life has rejected the intimacy of aging in favour of convenience and artificial perfection. CRT televisions, once cutting-edge, now seem alive in a way new devices do not—they hum, glitch, and require care. Like aging bodies, they form imperfect but living systems. The work critiques the sterile efficiency of modern technology, where tools like Siri and algorithm-driven platforms suppress curiosity and decision-making. Instead of promoting mastery, they encourage passivity, making us more compliant to technology's expanding influence.
