Gallery 2B

Undergraduate exhibitor

Using modified Barbie dolls as subjects, Iafolla examines online dating in this exhibition. This body of work presents images inspired by real dating profiles found on dating apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge, and nudes that might be shared after a match. Iafolla has modified Barbie and other fashion dolls to create archetypes of online daters. The dating profiles explore how people who are looking for intimacy or connection market themselves.
