Jute of the Loom
Tal Guterman

Jan 27 - 31, 2026

Gallery 3

Undergraduate Exhibitor

About her exhibition, Guterman states, "In a world of fast fashion and overconsumption, textiles are over-produced, overlooked, and thrown away like trash. I believe that society needs to appreciate the value of craft, and acknowledge the long history of skill, and practice that goes into the material we interact with everyday. My work magnifies the process of handmade textiles by exploring the visual power of scale and curated installation. Viewers are offered the chance to look closely at structure, fibre, and gestures of the hand."
