About their exhibition, the artist offers, "I am grateful to show my work finally among my peers and family and friends. My work reflects who I am as Saba. My work is oil paint, focusing on how colour and feeling. I want people to look at the work at feel its breath. I invite people to linger and feel with the paintings. Inspired by Sam Gilliam, Georgia O’Keefe, and Hilma af Klimt. I focus on colour and feeling. I go with my gut and paint the colour field that chooses to emerge. Along with this thought process I have mixed in the ashes of my grandma Doreen & grandpa Wingrove Taylor, and my auntie Paula Taylor. May their vivaciousness, love, and sorrow, live through these paintings.
Ashes to ashes, Dust to Dust"
