What does it mean to change, to transform? To be formed, and re-formed?
This exhibition appreciates the act of becoming. Becoming self, becoming place; what came before, and what will become after. I use an interdisciplinary approach that pushes material beyond its conventional norms. Using ceramic with Crochet, homemade inks, and recycled materials, Becoming is a deep appreciation for the process in art. I aim to explore the difficulty, perhaps futility, in trying to fully understand the unknowns of what is, or will be. These pieces encourage intentional curiosity into the reality of transformation of material, environments, and self.
