Forged in Flesh
Ruby Gillam

May 26 - 30, 2026

Gallery 1

Undergraduate Exhibitor

"Forged in Flesh" opens a conversation that speaks to the beauty and messiness of life in all its stages. These works bring into conversation the concepts of 'mother nature' and 'man made' objects by transforming the gallery space into an environment that evokes a forest floor. Gillam offers, "My goal for the show is to upset the usual ways that jewellery and photography are exhibited and invite the viewer to question that relationship. I'm aiming to erase the distinction between humans and animals, as we are all the same in death."
