"Marine" explores a colourful, mysterious sea world that is yet to be fully explored. By observing the form, shape, and colour of the natural sea world, Lin is inspired to unleash her imagination to all possibilities of marine life. She merges various media, such as glass, glaze, porcelain, gemstone, metal, bead, and mother-of-pearl, to construct her imagined sea creature into sculpture and wearable jewellery. Those diverse materials blend together naturally to create a range of textures, surfaces, and colour effects, as if they were alive.
