The Insectarium is the manifestation of the artist’s childhood love for insects through print and sculpture; working with bugs without working with bugs. As stated by Cruickshank, “When I was younger, my fascination with bugs made me want to become an entomologist. The problem with that, however, was my strong dislike for being in contact with bugs, so art became a happy alternative.”
