bigfeelingsmall is a sculptural exhibition interrogating memory (genuine and fabricated), imagination, and fear within the setting of formal “special” education. The installation plays with preconceptions and standards of objecthood, and engages with elements of domesticity and vernacular design, while subverting obvious formal utility. Through humour and obfuscation, the exhibition centers lived experience and makes manifest the laborious nature of processing an augmented childhood.
Opening Receptions: Will Baker; Max Bell; Czarina David and Aaron Tsitouras; Melanie Evelyn and Kenna Robinson
