undergraduate exhibitor

Place is heavily influenced by Boisclair-Joly's time in Halifax. The artist developed a discomfort with this new environment after leaving a very well-rooted sense of community in the landscapes of British Columbia. The painting practice has built on unease and the underlying themes of continuity, memory, interiority, and exteriority. These elements amalgamate the physical and metaphysical space while living with one-foot-out-the-door.
