The Gathering Plate - Love Lucia
Lucia Mills

Jun 9 - 13, 2026

Gallery 3

undergraduate exhibitor

"The Gathering Plate - Love Lucia" is a ceramic installation that reinterprets traditional family dinnerware into surfaces of memory. This work reimagines tradition through a contemporary lens, highlighting everyday utilitarian objects and emphasizing that beauty and intention can exist in the objects we handle daily. Inspired by family gatherings and the fading tradition of wedding china, these vessels work to memorialize the joy and familial celebration experienced around the table . By transforming functional ceramics into records of lived experience, the installation highlights the role of shared meals in shaping connection, memory, and personal identity.
