Best of Two Worlds
Leonard Paul

Mar 2, 2026 | 5:30pm - Mar 21, 2026 | 4pm

Treaty Space Gallery, 1887 Granville St

Internationally celebrated Mi’Kmaq artist, master watercolourist Leonard Paul presents new works and a glimpse into the past with The Best of Two Worlds, Celebrating 50 years of art, with support from Anna Leonowens Gallery Systems of NSCAD University. Paul refers himself as a well-rounded thinker because although he is a status Mi’kmaq, he was born and raised in Halifax, so that he could stay away from the residential school. He often incorporates both his cultural heritage and Euro-Centric learning together for illustrating Mi’kmaq Legends in Storytelling. Recipient of the Governor General’s Medal of Canada for Excellence in Art returned to NSCAD in 2025 to complete his Bachelor of Fine Arts and will graduate in May 2026.
