group exhibition
"Surface Tension" is a group exhibition curated by Sarah Sears and Katherine Rae Diemert exploring water's qualities and characteristics through artists’ practices in sculpture, installation, multimedia and more.
The water's surface shifts and responds to forces of planetary movements and weather systems, creating a dynamic, alive membrane – a portal between worlds above and below. Materially, water is at once both transparent and reflective, mirroring the sky above it. Below, we have yet to completely discover the vast oceans' landscapes, ecosystems and inhabitants, yet the impact of human activity is already changing life in the water.
