Mi’kmaw interdisciplinary visual artist and NSCAD Associate Professor in Expanded Media, Jordan Bennett, was commissioned by BalletCollective—New York’s experimental dance company—to create a painting that inspired the choreography for the ballet The entrance is the exit.
This work creatively inspects the duality of change, the connections between endings and beginnings, and how the past informs the present.
Bennett offers: “To create something interesting and new, you have to do it differently.”
