New Library is an exhibition of 32 artists’ books made over the course of 31 days which extend the definition of ‘book’. They are delicately constructed artifacts of local experience - made with accessible materials and binding methods - which operate as an alternative to cultural paradigms of placelessness. New Library presents the view from in between; between home and away, between comfort and discomfort, between category and miscellany; the view from the threshold of the front cover.
