"Murmurs Between" begins with the premise of the artist as a witness to reality. Through repetitive gestural motions, material qualities of medium and surface interact, and moments of figurative, metaphorical, or symbolic activity become the sites for a process of revision and revelation. The works resist clear resolution, and instead emerge as a state of becoming - a record of material conditions and the presence that may quietly inhabit them.
