The artist offers, "This exhibition serves as a mirror and a reminder of our animal selves. After moving south from a childhood on the Quebec-Labrador border, I’ve often felt a sense of maladaptation to city life. This feeling of disconnect has left me longing for a sense of ‘re-wilding’. Living off the land has always been about more than sustenance, it’s been about community. ‘Consumption’ explores life and death and what it means to be a part of a connected system larger than one's self."
