Kindle & Kindred invites viewers into a reflective space where identity and emotional connections come to life. The exhibition features a suspended blanket installation with strands of beads that symbolize the burdens we carry, inviting the audience to cut the strings and let the beads fall. A quilt adorned with quills represents the protective comfort we seek, while self-served soups—including a vegan three sisters soup, Gabriel’s dad’s hot water soup, and his "Carnivore Cheesecake" pemmican dish—celebrate the warmth of shared meals and memories. This exhibition fosters dialogue about vulnerability and Gabriel's journey reconnecting with his Cree heritage through contemporary art.
