"Driving With My Knees" is a collection of painted works by Ewen Park which are heavily concerned with process. When should the artist let go of the metaphorical wheel, and drive with their knees? How does one become proficient in losing agency allowing the work to speak, while maintaining a coherent vision? Park, in response to these questions, has developed a semi abstract and spontaneous process and in turn painted language which he uses to address a wide variety of themes such as social contracts, humans in context with their surroundings, and observations about the world around us.
