Dreaming the Land envisions ways of dismantling the structures of settler-colonial realities through a more holistic lens. The curator’s offer, “Dreaming challenges us to reimagine the reality created and imposed on us by and through settler-colonial dominance. Reimagining encourages us to consider a different worldview that honours the autonomy, animacy and agency of Mother Earth”.
Through decolonial perspectives, Dreaming the Land explores the reclaiming and sharing of the knowledge of Turtle Island and focuses on the process of dreaming itself; that is, the journey of responsibility and care necessary to create change.

Curated by Nina Acosta Bello, Melanie Barnett, Meg Gellatly, Signy Holm, Diane Langevin and Wandi Zhou. Featuring work by Tayla Paul, Aiden Gillis, Emily Davidson, Jenny Yujia Shi, NAT chantel, Carrie Allison, & Sydney Wreaks.
