it won't take long

Gallery 3
undergraduate exhibitor
Berezov utilizes soft, layered materials and the cyanotype printing process to investigate how the body remembers tension and wounding. Referencing the skin formations of humans and trees alike, the regenerative action of healing is jointly considered as the embedding of memory. With a focus on scarring, erosion, and cinching, these sculptures contemplate how past experiences alter the surface of the present. Whether it is a mark or a persistent tightness, the body often adapts to its new conditions, while gently carrying the events of its interference.
