Luthi offers, "Almost an Island is an invitation to dive into the natural and artificial reflections of our shared space.
Through assemblage, a series of sculptures recreates small environments built upon reflective surfaces, such as water or mirrors, where organic and artificial materials come together in fragile and evolving relationships, suggesting a delicate balance between coexistence and transformation.
The curation of the materials questions whether they are being preserved or slowly deteriorating. This tension becomes a reflection on our relationship with nature and culture: how we coexist within shared spaces and how deeply human intervention shapes the environments we inhabit."
