Structure, Bias, and Crafted Impression

Gallery 1
Undergraduate Exhibitor
About her exhibition, Sisson states, "This fashion/textiles exhibition situates my experience of the world through the lens of structure, tradition, and expectation. As someone with autism, I find structure calming, assuring, and safe. My work explores both literal and figurative structure, looking at silhouette as well as how dress defined social roles. Works include sewn garments, millinery, corsetry, and handwoven fabrics."
RECEPTION: Adia Sisson; Tiana Ciammaichella
