We invite you to contribute to the carving of the Kjipuktuk harbour line as a part of a larger exploration. This multi-day woodcarving workshop is part of Aknutmatinej—a series of activations that create opportunities for gathering, sharing, witnessing, and listening.
There are three opportunities—Tuesday April 8th, Wednesday April 9th, and Thursday April 10th from 12:00-1:00 PM—to visit, carve, listen, reflect, and create. We will be working across two large panels of birch ply to collectively carve the harbour and waterways of Kjipuktuk. Tools are provided, no experience necessary, and all company is appreciated. During the carving, there will be a variety of noon talks and listens, all of which are open to everyone.
