Please meet us at the MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning (50 Queen Street) at 3:30pm on Friday, June 20th. We will take the Halifax Transit Ferry from The MacPhee Centre to NSCAD Treaty Space Gallery (1887 Granville St, Halifax) and will arrive between 4:00pm and 4:15pm. Bus tickets will be provided, but we ask youth with bus passes to please bring them along. After, we will leave NSCAD at 7:00pm and arrive back at the MacPhee Centre by 7:30pm. (Youth are also welcome to take the bus directly home afterwards).

More about MacPhee Centre’s “Branching Out” program:

The “Branching Out” program is designed to take young people on immersive trips to engage with and learn from Black and Indigenous communities around the HRM and across Nova Scotia. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with historical and traditional activities, and learn about the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of these communities. The program aims to foster understanding, respect, and appreciation for diversity, while empowering youth to become ambassadors of cultural awareness and social justice.
