CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Treaty Space Gallery Winter 2024
The Treaty Space Gallery (1107 Marginal Rd. NSCAD Port Campus) is accepting proposals until Monday, January 15th, 2024, for exhibitions to be programmed January-April 2024.
The Treaty Space Gallery invites Indigenous and non-Indigenous NSCAD students, professional artists, and community members to submit proposals in the Treaty Space and Loggia galleries. Artwork exhibited at the Treaty Space must celebrate or draw attention to notions of treaty, UN’s declaration of the Decade of Indigenous Languages, themes of cultural revitalization, and our relationship to the land.
Exhibition dates and gallery spaces will be prioritized for graduating Black, Indigenous, Persons of Colour (BIPOC) students. We welcome you to identify yourself/your communities in your bio or within your submission proposal, if you wish to disclose.
As a member of the NSCAD community, you can apply by completing the Exhibition Application Form (found here or in the NSCAD form portal). Exhibition proposals from external community members can be submitted by email to annaleonowens@nscad.ca.
