Li uses the medium of oil painting to explore her personal journey and to analyze the experiences that shaped her. In addition, she believes that individual experiences can resonate communally. She uses metaphors to paint memories that teeter between fact and fantasy. The paintings investigate how her feelings evolve, exchange, and collide with her memories to bring about self-transformation.
