"In Our Waters" explores the impact and amount of garbage polluting oceans and shorelines and experiments with ways in which this garbage can be manipulated and transformed to create something new. Young investigates connections between our environment and our treatment of it as humans who have colonized the planet, overtaking it with plastics. The exhibition features a faux rock wall covered in over 1500 shotgun shells collected from the beaches of Gros Morne, Newfoundland, transformed into plastic interpretations of sea life.
