(un)rest
Students for the Liberation of Palestine–Kjipuktuk

Al Zeitoun University

Jan 28 - 29, 2025

Treaty Space Gallery, 1887 Granville St

Group exhibition

In the past year, the student movement has experienced its strongest resurgence since the 1960s. (un)rest is a group show of curated artifacts from Al Zeitoun University, the pro-Palestine encampment that was started by the Students for the Liberation of Palestine-Kjipuktuk in the summer of 2024. The exhibition analyses student-led occupations as sites of rest, unrest, art, and political action.

Join us January 27, 5:30-7PM, January 28, 11-1PM, and January 29, 12-2PM for teach-ins and live performances. In archiving and enacting the pro-Palestine encampment, (un)rest will explore the stoppages experienced when the construction of a liberated zone is temporarily permitted within institutional walls.
