Pilgrimages: adrift...amongst...awash
Stef Hurley

Nov 26 - 30, 2024

Gallery 2A

Visual Arts Certificate

Exploring the interplay of connectedness and solitude through ceramic sculpture, Stefconsiders how this tension exists within ourselves, relationships between objects, each other, and our place in the world around us. She makes forms that interact with natural materials and found objects. Working with gentle curiosity, she trusts figures and stories to unfold as they will want to do; embracing the unexpected. Stef invites us to consider additional interplay of words chosen for this experience whose meanings reflect themes she is examining and the materials used to convey them.

"Eventually everything connects - people, ideas, objects." Charles Eames
