second puberty consists of a collection of prints exploring queer identity and cultural misogyny in media and politics. The show tracks this soyboy printcess’s journey through trans self-discovery, using humour to address anxieties around conservative hatred, in tandem with the joy of acceptance and representation. The title borrows a term from transgender healthcare, expanding the meaning from the physical changes of transition to include the experience of getting to know one’s real self.
