The artist offers: “My painting practice examines questions surrounding the embedded ramifications of theocracy while thinking about the emancipation and restrictions of the figure in space. Inherited from my personal encounters, comparative language is infused into my artwork via movement, chaos, and contrasting visuals.
The interplay between ordinary moments, socio-political undercurrents, and visual mythologies serves as the foundation for my artistic inspiration. Drawing from both individual and collective memories, I gradually detach from explicit visual references as I embark on the creative journey. This approach enables in selection of the content, color palettes, and paint application techniques to build a gradual metamorphosis.”
