SWARM
Shay Donovan and Autumn Star, graduate curators

Jun 25 - 29, 2024

Gallery 2

group exhibition

“SWARM” is an exhibition that explores the rich diversity and symbolism that appears in the insect kingdom, and how artists might integrate this into their work. As a multidisciplinary group show, “SWARM” celebrates everything from abject horror to the sublime; emulating structures that bugs are masters of by taking cues from their peculiar aesthetics and navigating the insights of insects. This exhibition curates the joy in coexisting with creepy-crawlies, the importance of insects for biodiversity, and how we can consider the artful study of entomology by questioning the notion of “pest”. Curated by Shay Donovan and Autumn Star.
