Gravity & Grace
Selina Wamsley

@selinawamsley

Sep 26 - 30, 2023

Gallery 3

Undergraduate exhibitor

Inspired by the paintings of Carlo Crivelli and Christian mythology surrounding transmasculine saints, Selina Wamsley uses the medium of oil paint to explore relationships between gender, sexuality and spirituality through self-portraiture. For Selina, painting is about the cultivation of love and developing a capacity for presence.

The artist offers a quote from Stephen Levine, “there is nothing within this universe of change that I can call myself for very long, nothing I can say I am that is the whole truth.”
