Gallery 3

Undergraduate exhibitor

Opening reception: 24 October, 5:30 – 7PM

Using printmaking, bookbinding, collection and archival practices, poetry, and performance, Doak explores the complexity of their family history and brings their research methodologies into the gallery space. Visitors can watch as Doak weaves printed poems into long braids, each twist representative of their own sense of place and belonging within the generations that have come before them, as well as those that may follow. Come in, sit, and share stories with the artist as they work: this exhibition is an ongoing project, and mimics a museum-like space where history can be taught and passed down.
