Group exhibition

The NSCAD Drawing Lab is presenting its research as an exhibition of explanatory posters and videos in conjunction with the launch of its book, Researching the Teaching of Drawing, Vernon Press (August 2022) which describes the Lab's research projects. 
 
By applying scientific methods, the NSCAD University Drawing Lab's mission is to better understand the drawing process and how it is taught. The Lab's past and current activities are made possible by the participation of trainees from NSCAD, Dalhousie and Nipissing University and by funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

Join us at the reception for the NSCAD Drawing Lab exhibition and book launch! Everyone is welcome.

Using eye tracking hardware, a NSCAD researcher conducts an experiment as part of the Drawing Lab's first Longitudinal study of how post-secondary students learn to draw from observation.

The Anna Leonowens Gallery Systems is a public exhibition space within NSCAD University, presenting professional exhibitions by established artists alongside graduating student exhibitions.
