Perversion and desire have a relationship that work in tandem with one another. What does it mean to be desired by others and how does one control the perception of self in such a vulnerable state? On the other end, at what point does desire become shameful? When does it become perversal? What tools have been used against us to internalize the shame of sexuality? What extremities and loopholes do we go through to justify repressing a biological response? When we look around with widened eyes and open ears, we find repression of innate human sexuality is within everything we interact with on a dally basis. "Loophole" is a show about shame, porn and mudwrestling. Using oil painting techniques combined with textile installation, "Loophole" investigates the interference of organized religion towards the heterosexual gaze and the feminine body.
