catacombs for the living mines the erotic and spiritual potential of the underground, drawing connections between subterranean burial space and sexual subculture. through photography, printed matter, and installation, black explores notions of ritual, desire, transgression, and communion, as well as the ways in which power is exerted—both consensually and non-consensually—on and through both body and space.
