life scores
Lauren Runions, MFA Thesis
-
Gallery 2
Graduate exhibitor
Runions’ exhibition references choreography in the sense of dancing bodies performing together in time and space, and embodied events that transpire between an individual, a pairing, or a collective. The work asks what conditions can develop kinaesthetic sensitivity, how bodiment practices can become accessible for a public or an audience through opening the practice of sight-reading, and what modes of score-writing can archive these processes. The exhibition will feature works that take place in the gallery as graphic scores, choreographic objects, video documentation, live performance, and community labs.
