Mostly text and textiles, this grad show is a culmination of work dedicated to interpersonal relationships. Jem uses soft sculpture, embroidery, and printed matter to create spaces of play that allow us to consider the relationships we form with strangers, and in turn how they form our identities. Often participatory, sometimes a game. It’s a love letter, it’s an I O U.
