"Hubris" is a collection of mixed media paintings that combine found, and crafted material with acrylic and oil paint. Through abstraction, color exploration, and contrasting visuals, Walling invites the viewer to look through the lens of his heteronormative upbringing--a critical outlook on a lack of introspection and an excess of pride.
