Basmaci offers: In "it is more scared of you than you are of it", I delve into the pervasive influence of surveillance, divinity and control I feel in my everyday life by employing a mix of painting, illustration, and sculpture. I hope to urge viewers to ponder the ethical implications of living a supervised human experience and confront the omnipresent gaze that blurs the line between authenticity and performance.
