MFA thesis exhibition
While surveying other people’s lives online, Fanny steps into her own pride, loss, and bitterness. In "Everyone You Know," photographic images reflect the ritualization of cellphone use as it cohabits with the projection of a hypothetical self and the sameness of digital imagery. Fanny’s thesis show is about her fascination with how easily we can embrace common desires and pleasing aesthetics while we perform our own familiar narrative.
