Landlord Special is a series of paintings varying in size and surface, accompanied by multimedia adaptations. Their surfaces are painted over and over with foraged earth pigments, debris collected from NSCAD campuses and surrounding streets, and colour extracted from metals and food waste. This work explores what it could look like to forage within the institution, within the built world, and within the debris left behind by the colonial state on stolen land.
