This exhibition explores the mythical Mi'kmaq sea serpent, the Jipijka'm, as a cultural symbol and a catalyst for self reflection, identity, and heritage. Combining elements of storytelling, education, and interactive engagement, the exhibition focuses on the creation of Indigenous toys—specifically soft toys for children—as an underrepresented medium for cultural education. By blending traditional legends with modern art education practices, the exhibition invites visitors of all ages to reflect on the importance of Indigenous representation in play and storytelling.
