The CIMADE Indigenous Beading Circle—a new, ongoing gathering space for Turtle Island Indigenous students, staff, and faculty at NSCAD University's Academy Campus—welcome all to their first exhibition: Beading Connections. This is a group exhibition of beadwork made by members of our Circle at biweekly meetings throughout the semester. It is a visual expression of ideas relating to Indigenous beading practices, artistic sovereignty, reclamation of identity through traditional practices, and the power of beadwork as medicine.
